Mapping for Parkour

Started and led by members of Women of Melbourne Parkour, the Victorian Parkour Map is a collaboratively produced resource with information about places to play and train. Intended to be as inclusive as possible, it includes detailed information on safety, accessibility and amenities, so that it can be useful to a diverse range of community members. In this session, organisers will present the beta map and share their insights from leading the project, including what’s worked and what’s been challenging. We’ll also open up for questions and discussion from participants – we’re keen to hear of people’s reactions and of any similar projects around the country.

The Victorian Parkour Map now has over 200 spots in Melbourne, Geelong and Bendigo.

You can contribute spots here and send photos to: vicpkmap@gmail.com. (Be sure to read the Induction document for instructions on how to contribute)
